Description
From the corner of Fruitvale Avenue and Alameda Avenue all the way to home depot, the sidewalk is unusable because it is covered with garbage, tires, at least 4 cars (parked on and perpendicular to the sidewalk), people using the sidewalk as a living space, and pit bulls and other dogs. Tonight I saw someone taking water out of the fire hydrant at that corner. There were at least 10 bags of garbage at that corner too. There is what looks like a plywood "wall" blocking the sidewalk and farther down there is yellow tape blocking the sidewalk. This is a public sidewalk paid for with our tax dollars and we cannot use it. I've tried walking to home depot using the sidewalk on the other side of the street but the sidewalk doesn't go all the way there and now there are cars and tents and dogs and garbage on that sidewalk too.
