Mô tả
The new Village Plaza in Montclair Village was designed to require cars traveling on Antioch Court to continue straight onto Mountain Blvd (north) rather than give them the option to turn left onto Mountain (south) as they were able to in the past.
However, there is currently no signage to notify drivers that left turns are not allowed. Drivers are continuing to turn left onto Mountain, posing a serious threat to pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists.
We need to add a NO LEFT TURN sign to clarify the change in traffic requirements that came with the new plaza design.

The plan that was presented to and approved by the city included no left turn from Antioch Court to Mountain. Please add the sign as per the approved plan, available at the below link:

Please DO NOT restrict left turns onto Mountain.
Restricting the ability of vehicles to turn where they need to go results in additional driving, people having to circle around to get to their destinations, which is itself an added safety issue, as every additional minute spent driving is another minute of potential risk for vehicular accidents.
Not to mention adding to pollution, congestion, and reducing productivity by taking more time out of people's days – something that I get the impression is rarely considered when decisions like these are being made, but should be.
Adding more signage and restrictions can also be confusing to drivers, increasing the risk of accidents, or create the risk of drivers trying to make faster turns if they are illegal, so as to reduce their likelihood of being spotted, with the speed again creating an additional safety hazard.
